Location Perfectly positioned at Rockefeller Center’s doorstep with a bird’s eye view of the bustling plaza below, the 33-story design-forward hotel, developed by Extell, offers expansive, coveted views of the city skyline.  The third New York City addition to the Kimpton portfolio, the striking tower features 529 guest rooms and inspired social spaces, including two full-service restaurants, a lobby lounge and a rooftop bar. Additional amenities include a fitness center and two spaces to host unique meetings and social gatherings.  Overview: The Room Attendant is crucial for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in our hotel. This role ensures the cleanliness, order, and efficient operation of all guest rooms, as well as providing essential support to our guests and housekeeping team. The Room Attendant will be responsible for meticulously cleaning and preparing stayover and check-out rooms, assisting with guest requests, and managing linen, ensuring a pristine and welcoming environment for both arriving and in-house guests. This position will also perform general and deep cleaning of guest rooms as needed.   Key Responsibilities:   Operational Support: Clean and prepare guest rooms, including stayover and check-out rooms, adhering to established hotel procedures and brand standards. Make beds, change linens, and replace towels. Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including showers, toilets, sinks, and floors. Dust, polish, and wipe down all surfaces. Service Minibar. Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners. Replenish in-room amenities such as toiletries, coffee supplies, and stationery. Perform self-inspections of all assigned rooms to ensure they meet quality and brand standards before reporting them as ready. Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items promptly utilizing HotSos. Maintain a neat, organized, and well-stocked housekeeping cart and linen closet. General Duties: Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including OSHA standards, particularly those related to engineering and maintenance. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Handle guest requests and inquiries promptly and courteously. Handle chemicals and cleaning agents according to safety guidelines. Perform the duties of a house attendant as needed. QualificationsQualifications: Prior experience in housekeeping or a similar role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment, is a plus. Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work. Ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as collaboratively within a team. Strong organizational skills. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Basic communication skills to interact with guests and team members. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and equipment usage is desirable.   Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, pull, push, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 25-30 pounds. Manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment and handle supplies. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
