What you will be doing

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Per Diem Technologist to cover evenings and some weekends.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Greater than 1 year experience

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
2+ Bacteriology, Mycology, Mycobacteriology

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Standing or sitting in the same location Standing or sitting in the same location; may require to stoop, climb or lift light material (20 lbs. or less) or equipment. Examples: programmers, receptionists, medical technologists, and dishwashers.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Indoor area with frequent exposure to mild dust, fumes, temperature, and noise.

HAZARDS OSHA
Category 1 - plus Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, and other potentially infectious materials. Subject to electrical and radiant energy HAZARDS. Exposed to odorous chemicals and specimens.

EDUCATION REQUIRED
A Bachelor's degree. Degree in Medical Technology or a related science Bachelors Medical Technology

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE REQUIRED
N. Y. State license-Clinical Laboratory Technologist

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE PREFERRED
ASCP preferred
