The Austin Veterinary Care team has been providing services to the people of Queens, New York, since 2012. Our goal is to offer our patients the best possible veterinary treatment. In addition to guiding our clients in a partnership to offer wellness care for their beloved companions, we work to improve the link between humans and animals by healing and assisting them. Qualifications 

  • Experienced Veterinary Technician or Licensed Veterinary Technician, license must be current
  • 2-3+ years of prior veterinary experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Proficient in technical skills
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Positive team player willing to continue to expand their knowledge and skills.
  • Must be able to work different shifts, and some rotating Saturdays.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care
  • Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures. 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred – or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements. 

  • Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.

Responsibilities 

  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures. 

  • Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines. 

  • Collect lab samples and maintainaccurate patient records. 

  • Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.

​Pay range: $25-30 based on experience and licensure
