Summary This role requires a balance of culinary skill and meticulous administrative oversight to ensure a safe, supportive environment for clients in recovery. Detail-oriented culinary professional with experience in high-volume meal preparation and institutional kitchen management. Proven track record in maintaining rigorous safety standards, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing inventory control to support a healing environment. Committed to delivering nutritious, specialized menus that meet the unique dietary needs of clients in a recovery setting. Schedule Availability Tuesday-Saturday: 9:30am-6pm Responsibilities Culinary Operations: Prepare and serve specialized, nutritious meals for medical detox clients, maintaining service consistency by acting as lead cook in the manager's absence. Inventory & Procurement: Manage the full supply chain—from budget-conscious ordering and vendor coordination to rigorous inventory tracking and waste reduction (FIFO). Compliance & Safety: Oversee kitchen sanitation, equipment maintenance, and audit-ready documentation to ensure 100% adherence to health department and safety standards. Staff Leadership: Support the training of kitchen personnel on facility-specific dietary requirements and safety protocols. QualificationsQualifications Minimum 2–3 years of professional cooking experience, preferably in a healthcare, residential, or high-volume institutional setting. Proven experience with food ordering software, inventory tracking, and budget management. Valid ServSafe Food Handler or Manager certification. High level of empathy and professionalism suitable for a clinical/recovery environment; strong organizational skills and attention to detail. High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
