The Dock Department Tech assists with dock operations to meet peak efficiency. This role is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, scanning and tracking inventory, maintaining accurate shipment documentation, and supporting overall warehouse organization in a fast-paced production environment.

1. ACCOUNTS FOR OUTBOUND RENTAL EQUIPMENT BY:

  • Confirming all rental products are checked out before beginning to load outbound vehicle. 
  • Ensuring dock confirmation is performed on all outbound orders.
  • Completing all required Nexus documentation for outbound shipment.

2. ACCOUNTS FOR INBOUND RENTAL EQUIPMENT BY:

  • Scanning in every case as it is offloaded.
  • Scanning returned rental equipment into Nexus.
  • Counting and entering “non-barcoded” quantities into Nexus.

3. COMPLETES SHIPPING AND RECEIVING BY:

  • Counting all inbound Sub-Rental equipment.
  • Counting all inbound new rental equipment.
  • Informing Department Head.
  • Loading and unloading trucks.
  • Helping to direct temporary labor.

 4. MAINTAINS ORGANIZED WORK AREA BY:

  • Ensuring all tools, machinery and supplies are returned to proper storage area at the end of shift.
  • Ensuring rental products are stored in an approved ORPL manner.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing workstation daily and common areas as assigned.  Removing recycling and waste to appropriate disposal areas.

 5. OFFERS MISCELLANEOUS HELP BY:

  • Assisting in all other departments as directed by supervisor.
  • Assisting with warehouse projects as directed by supervisor.
  • Having the opportunity to join the Joint Health and Safety Committee.

PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Capable of lifting over 50 LBS repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Basic computer skills Nexus, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Zoom, Teams.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse and dock environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, or production experience is a plus.
