Receiving & Inventory Control Manager
Reports to - Director, Global Materials & Logistics
Position Summary:Â The Receiving & Inventory Control Manager oversees receiving, inventory control, and daily material operations to ensure accurate transactions, inventory integrity, and timely material availability for production. This role leads the inventory control team and partners with Manufacturing, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and Finance to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee incoming material receiving and ensure accurate processing of PO, MPN, COO, date code, waybill/carrier, and AML information.
- Manage receiving discrepancies, quarantine/purge staging, reporting, and material disposition.
- Supervise daily inventory control operations and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Administer the cycle count program, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor work order completion, material variances, inventory adjustments, and scrap transactions.
- Manage excess and obsolete inventory reporting and tracking.
- Establish and monitor ABC inventory classifications.
- Lead discrepancy identification, root-cause analysis, and resolution.
- Supervise and develop the receiving/inventory control team.
- Ensure compliance with 6S, safety, quality, and company procedures.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, efficiency, and operational processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in inventory control, receiving, warehouse, or material management; electronics manufacturing/EMS experience preferred.
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, ERP/MRP transactions, and material traceability.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with PCBA/SMT or electronics manufacturing is highly preferred.
