Security Guard

Description

Omni-Serv is in search of a Full-Time Security Guard to surveil our location in the Newark, NJ area. We are looking for a professional and reliable individual to monitor site activity and control access, ensuring a safe and secure environment. This role involves a high level of interaction with customers, visitors, and employees, and requires strong customer service skills, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Compensation: $16.00 per hour

Shift: Tuesday through Saturday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM 

 Job Responsibilities:

• Interact with customers, visitors, and employees on a daily basis 
• Verify the identity of individuals seeking entry to ensure proper authorization and credentials 
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing personnel, vehicles, and deliveries 
• Monitor and control access to designated areas from the guard booth 
• Prepare and complete incident reports as needed 
• Enforce security policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment 
• Remain vigilant, alert, and observant throughout the assigned shift

Requirements

• Valid SORA license
• Minimum of one (1) year of security guard experience 
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Ability to remain vigilant, alert, and observant throughout the duration of the shift 
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
