Job Description

As a Security Officer Patient Area Patrol in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and timely incident reporting while embodying Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Pay Rate: $22.13 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or hazards according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate hospital personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with facility policies, helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
