Join Our Team as a Project Engineer (Electrical) at Teledyne ETM!
At Teledyne ETM, located in Newark, CA, we design and build cutting-edge high-voltage and high-power electronic subsystems that support communications, radar/EW, test and measurement, medical, and security markets worldwide. We’re looking for a Project Engineer – Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and lifecycle management of advanced electronic systems. This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute across the full product lifecycle—from concept and design to production and ongoing support.

What You’ll Do
Design & Development:
- Design and develop electrical systems including RF subsystems, high-voltage power supplies, and control systems
- Improve existing designs to meet customer requirements and improve performance
- Support system-level integration across electrical, mechanical and thermal domains
Project Ownership & Execution:
- Take ownership of assigned hardware and projects
- Ensure technical, schedule, and cost goals are met
- Own and support project-specific customer compliance activities
- Provide technical support throughout the full product lifecycle
Production & Test Support, Systems & Reliability Engineering:
- Support builds, testing, and production activities, participating directly in testing efforts as needed
- Troubleshoot hardware issues and assist with root cause analysis
- Support reliability analyses and failure investigations
- Identify risks and work to mitigate them Â
Collaboration:
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management
- Support customer interactions and technical inquiries
- Interact with customers and onsite/remote technical support
- Note: Domestic and international travel is required during design, pre-production, and post-production activities
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with lab equipment (DMMs, signal generators, analyzers, etc.)
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
- Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce
- Preferred:
- Experience with RF or high-voltage systems
- Familiarity with production testing and troubleshooting
- Experience in regulated environments – AS9100, ISO 9001, export control

Salary Range:
$72,800.00-$97,100.000The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
