What you will do

The Human Resources Coordinator supports the business with Human Resources programs and administration for employees across the business to ensure Volvo Group is a great place to work for everyone. Volvo’s Human Resources Team Members are passionate about their work and help deliver positive change every day.

 

As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will be part of broader team consisting of Human Resources Business Partners, Safety, and Training.  Our team plays a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing our organizational culture while supporting the growth and development of our talented team members. Reporting to the Manager of Labor Relations, you will administer and improve HR processes to ensure best-in-class HR support. Our team achieves results by being driven, innovative, collaborative and trustworthy.  This role is critical in providing support in the areas of employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, learning and development, and ad hoc projects as necessary.

 

 

Main activities and responsibilities for this role

  • Serve as a trusted support resource to HR Team and employees on HR related matters.
  • Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement and inclusion within the organization.
  • Consistently utilize Continuous Improvement techniques to improve processes and service levels to employees and managers.
  • Interacting with employees, managers, and union as first point of contact with HR.
  • Resolving issues or escalating as needed.

Critical competencies and experience
We are looking for a someone with a customer focus who will be committed to the teamwork environment through being a resourceful team player.  Excellent communication skills will be essential to success in the role.

 

Minimum 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong personal credibility, integrity and self-leadership.
  • Desire to pursue HR as a career.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Some college preferred.

For this position, the base pay is set at $55,000 - $67,000 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
