We’re looking for a capable and hardworking Experienced Press Machine Operator for First Shift at our Newburyport facility.
Location:
Newburyport, MA.
This position is 100% onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all work in a safe manner, using appropriate PPE and following safety guidelines for the assigned task.
- Run Press machines with skill and efficiency.
- Perform visual inspection while running presses.
- Identify issues and recommend solutions when issues arise with the press.
- Provide technical expertise in the Progressive Cell.
- Consistently follow documented production instructions
- Maintain a neat and clean work area at all times.
- Follow all applicable AS9100 quality procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate required.
- 1-3 years of Press Operator background and/or experience in a machine shop.
- Proficiency with measuring instruments.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong technical knowledge of Tool and Dies
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
