Job Description:

Welcome to our dynamic Medical Surgical Department, where we offer top-notch care across two specialized units! Our first unit boasts 18 private rooms, each designed for comfort and privacy, with a dedicated focus on orthopedic care. Whether it’s joint replacements or other orthopedic procedures, our team is committed to getting patients back on their feet.

Are you ready to become a part of our dynamic Medical Surgical team?

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Complete assessments, administer medications/treatments, observes patients progress and evaluates therapies for clinical outcomes and effectiveness 
  • Collaborate with physicians and other medical professionals to develop an optimal health care strategy plan for each patient 
  • Support and educate patients and their loves ones to achieve maximum outcomes 
  • Critical Thinking
  • Responds to patient needs in a timely manner, including answering call lights.
  • Documents all changes as well as relevant information regarding patient’s response to intervention, therapeutic regimens, and patient progress as it relates to plan of care and patient’s response to teaching.
  • Floating to other units is required, including the Emergency room holds

Scheduled Hours: 36 hours/week, rotating weekends and holidays.

Work Shift: Nights - 7p - 7a

Education Required: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, Certifications Required:

  • State of Massachusetts RN licensure (or eligibility) 
  • BLS Certification 
  • ACLS preferred

Experience:  One to two years of nursing experience in an acute or sub-acute care setting preferred.

Pay Range:

$35.85 - $77.82

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.  The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
