Description
We're looking for a dependable Cook to join our team at the Recovery Center of Niagara. You'll prepare nutritious, home-style meals for approximately 100 residents in a supportive recovery environment. This is a batch-cooking position with breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. No made-to-order cooking, no dinner rush, and no late nights. Shifts from 530am-2pm and 11am-730pm.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and cook batch meals for approximately 100 residents, three times each day
- Follow recipes, production schedules, and dietary guidelines
- Ensure food is prepared safely and served on time
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and inspection-ready
- Assist with inventory, receiving, and stocking food and supplies
- Complete required food production and temperature records
- Work as part of a team to provide a consistent dining experience
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous cooking experience in a commercial kitchen, healthcare, restaurant, cafeteria, or similar setting preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Must pass all required background checks
