Position Summary:  

The candidate will be responsible for operating the CNC Lathe, running, and checking production.

Daily tasks: 

Run two CNC lathes to produce aerospace fasteners meeting quality and production targets. Check bolts using precision measuring tools and gages. Record daily production into SPC and shop floor control systems 

 

Working Conditions: First shift position. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or slippery conditions; high, precarious places; fumes and chemical; extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is required to work with cutting fluids (such as oils and coolants).

Requires full work time only. 8 hours a shift- Monday to Friday- overtime expected depending on production needs. Regular attendance is an essential job function.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Do first Article Inspection
  • Lifting to 40 lbs. and moving 40 lbs. pans with dollies.
  • Standing for extended periods of time, bending, stooping, reaching, and grasping to operate CNC lathes.
