CNC Programmer/Machinist – Milling & Lathing

Location: Newington, CT
Pay: $38.00–$45.00 per hour, based on experience
Job Type: Full-time, permanent, in-person

Frasal Tool Co is a privately held precision machining and tooling manufacturer founded in 1972. The company specializes in custom aerospace ground-support tooling, precision components, fixtures, gauges, and complex assemblies.

 

We currently have openings for Experienced CNC Programmer/Machinists:

  • 2 CNC programmer/MILLING machinists
  • 1 CNC programmer/LATHE machinist

 

This is NOT an entry-level position. A minimum of 5 years of metalworking/CNC experience is required.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for an experienced machinist who enjoys complex, low-volume work rather than repetitive production machining. Parts are typically prototypes or quantities ranging from one to a few pieces.

You will work independently and take projects from programming and setup through machining and inspection, while collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Management, and other Machinists.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, operation sheets, and work instructions
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC milling or turning centers
  • Create and modify CNC programs using Mastercam or other CAM software
  • Machine low-volume and prototype aerospace tooling components
  • Independently take parts from start to finish
  • Apply GD&T principles and maintain required tolerances
  • Inspect finished work using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Control, Management, and other Machinists

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of CNC/metalworking experience
  • Proficiency programming with Mastercam or comparable CAM software
  • Strong CNC setup and operating experience in milling OR lathing
  • Proficient blueprint reading and GD&T
  • Strong knowledge of precision measuring equipment
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot machining challenges
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
