Position Overview: This position reports to the VP, Manufacturing Ops and the Director, SCS Manufacturing. The Manufacturing Operations & Systems Project Manager leads cross‑functional initiatives that strengthen day‑to‑day production performance while delivering system‑focused projects that improve reliability, digital capability, and workflow efficiency. This role blends hands‑on operational problem solving with disciplined project management, ensuring that manufacturing systems, equipment integrations, and process improvements directly support stable, predictable, and high‑performing operations. Embedded within the production environment, this position serves as a key connector across manufacturing operations, engineering, IT, maintenance, quality, and senior leadership to align priorities, reduce risk, and drive sustainable improvements. Responsibilities and Duties: (*Indicates an Essential Function)        Operational Stability & Production Support Monitor production lines to identify early indicators of drift, bottlenecks, or instability impacting throughput, cost, or quality. Lead rapid response efforts during unplanned downtime, coordinating cross‑functional teams to restore operations and implement corrective actions. Conduct structured root‑cause analyses and ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented, tracked, and sustained. Maintain operational dashboards, KPIs, and escalation pathways that support real‑time decision‑making. Assess operational impacts of new equipment, process changes, or new product introductions. Partner with Finance to develop accurate cost positions, CAPEX requests, and productivity tracking. Author clear, professional presentations to support CAPEX justification and communicate complex concepts concisely to leadership. Perform other related duties as assigned.  Systems Integration & Project Delivery Manage projects involving MES, CMMS, automation platforms, digital tools, and equipment‑supporting systems. Collaborate with engineering, IT, and automation teams to define and validate system requirements aligned with operational needs. Coordinate system testing, validation, commissioning, and production handoff. Troubleshoot system‑related issues that affect production performance, data integrity, or workflow reliability. Identify and implement small‑scale automation or digital enhancements that reduce manual steps and operational risk.  Data, Analytics, and Continuous Improvement Analyze downtime data, system logs, and operational metrics to identify chronic issues and improvement opportunities. Lead continuous improvement projects focused on system reliability, data accuracy, and operational efficiency. Improve workflows, digital processes, and material flow to reduce friction, delays, and production stoppages. Participate in FMEA and risk reviews, ensuring both operational and system‑related risks are identified and mitigated. Cross-Functional Leadership & Coordination Serve as the primary liaison across production, engineering, IT, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams for operational and system initiatives. Facilitate alignment on project scope, priorities, timelines, and resource requirements. Communicate project status, risks, and operational impacts clearly at all organizational levels. Influence adoption of best practices in both manufacturing operations and system usage across the factory. QualificationsQualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Technology, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience considered. 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing operations, systems implementation, process engineering, or project management. Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, process, and system domains. Experience with structured problem‑solving methodologies including root‑cause analysis and FMEA. Ability to interpret complex performance data, system logs, and operational metrics. Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven cross‑functional coordination capability. Comfort working regularly on the production floor in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Preferred  Experience implementing or upgrading MES, CMMS, automation systems, or digital manufacturing tools. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, or reliability engineering practices. Ability to develop or refine SOPs, system documentation, and training materials. Proven success leading cross‑functional projects without direct authority. Exposure to high‑mix/low‑volume or high‑volume continuous manufacturing environments.
