We are seeking a highly skilled Rail Fabricator to join our miscellaneous metals team. This role is ideal for a candidate with extensive experience fabricating and assembling complex railing systems with a strong focus on quality, precision, and efficiency.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and assemble railings including stairs, guardrails, handrails, ornamental rails, etc.
  • Interpret shop drawings, field measurements, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication
  • Perform layout, cutting, fitting, welding, and finishing of various metals (steel, stainless, aluminum)
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and project specifications
  • Collaborate with shop supervisors, project managers, and detailers to resolve fabrication challenges
  • Maintain production schedules and communicate delays or issues proactively
  • Operate shop equipment safely and efficiently (saws, welders, grinders, etc.)
  • Assist with training and mentoring less experienced fabricators as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols



Qualifications:

  • 7–10+ years of experience in miscellaneous metals fabrication, with a strong focus on railings
  • Proven ability to fabricate complex and custom railing systems independently
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG; stainless/aluminum experience preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to railing systems
  • High attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship



Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED (trade school preferred but not required)
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical shop work (standing, bending, lifting)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines
  • Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check
