Working closely with Project Managers and cross-functional stakeholders, the Senior Project Analyst assumes increasing ownership of project planning, execution, customer engagement, commercial management, and risk mitigation activities. Projects are managed with a strong commercial focus, operating as profit and loss centers with objectives that include protecting and improving project margins through cost savings, revenue opportunities, contract variations, and effective risk management. The Senior Project Analyst contributes to project strategy development and may independently lead smaller projects, workstreams, or designated phases of larger programs under the mentorship of a Project Manager. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to address customer and internal challenges, manage ambiguity, and drive successful project execution. Responsibilities include project planning, budget and schedule management, contract administration, customer communications, risk and opportunity management, and coordination of cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, production, finance, marine, sales, and quality. The Senior Project Analyst serves as a key contributor to project success while gaining the experience and competencies necessary to transition into a Project Manager position. Responsibilities  Partner with Project Managers to manage project financial performance, including revenue growth, margin improvement, forecasting, and cost control. Contribute to the development of project strategy and implement project execution plans that achieve customer, schedule, financial, and operational objectives. Lead designated projects, workstreams, or project phases with increasing autonomy as directed by the Project Manager. Lead comprehensive risk and opportunity assessments and develop recommended mitigation and contingency plans to reduce project and business exposure.  Support the Project Manager in managing overall project risk. Support project contract management and independently administer assigned contractual requirements, including scope, technical requirements, schedule commitments, budgets, change orders, contractual notices, and customer communications. Build and maintain effective customer relationships while serving as a primary point of contact for assigned project activities. Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules, resource plans, budgets, and key performance metrics. Coordinate and influence cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and ensure alignment with project strategy and priorities. Monitor project execution, identify deviations from plan, recommend corrective actions to maintain project performance, and lead implementation within assigned areas of responsibility. Prepare and present project status updates, financial reviews, risk assessments, and key issues to customers and senior leadership. Support contract negotiations, commercial discussions, claims management, and variation order development. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of project management best practices across the organization. Mentor junior project team members and share project management knowledge and lessons learned. Develop the leadership, commercial, and project execution capabilities required for progression into a Project Manager role. Escalate critical project issues as appropriate and recommend solutions to ensure successful project outcomes. QualificationsQualifications  Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in large cross functional projects within a team on undersea or construction projects. Experience matrix-managing a team is useful. Demonstrated ability to solve problems within own position, across organizations, and with customers. Demonstrated experience supporting complex project delivery, including financial management, schedule management, risk management, contract administration, and customer engagement. Demonstrated ability to independently lead project activities or workstreams and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. Working knowledge of commercial contracts and demonstrated ability to interpret contractual requirements and support development of commercial positions, notices, and project changes. Demonstrated ability to assume increased project ownership, customer-facing responsibility, and decision-making authority. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required. International and domestic travel to support customer meetings as needed. NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
