In this role, you will work closely with multi-functional groups, including R&D, Manufacturing, Marine, Sales and Project Management. This is a fast paced and dynamic environment requiring the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while optimizing efficiency and maintaining engineering excellence. Responsibilities Using in-house software tools develop technical solutions for new subsea telecom cable systems based on Customers’ Requirements Coordinate internal teams in preparing technical proposals and ensure on time delivery Define project scope for R&D Engineers and assist Sales in developing bid strategy Support technical discussions with the Customers during new system bids and in project implementation Work with the PLM on defining product features needed for a given system bid Provide technical support to Sales during contract negotiations Assist in developing and testing software tools, templates and calculators QualificationsQualifications BS in Electrical Engineering or related field is required (MS is preferred) Course work and/or experience in fiber optics and telecommunications. Understanding of optical networking concepts and building blocks, such as coherent optical transmission, DWDM, transponder, ROADM, EDFA/Raman amplification preferred Strong presentation skills and ability to manage multiple priorities are essential Excellent verbal and written communication skills International and domestic travel will be required at times NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
