This role provides day-to-day guidance to assigned QS 1,2 and 3 Technicians.  Supports training and qualification of employees, monitors testing performance and priorities, and partners with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve issues impacting output, quality, or delivery. The Lead is accountable for maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized testing environment while promoting teamwork, and continuous improvement within the assigned area. Responsibilities and Duties:    Coordinate and support the daily workload of the Testing group, including QS 1,2 and 3 Technicians Assist in establishing daily testing priorities and coordinating resources and cross-training activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives. Provide technical guidance, instruction, and support to the Testers to ensure effective execution test procedures, work instructions, data entry requirements, and product acceptance criteria. Monitor testing performance, equipment readiness, labor utilization, capacity, WIP levels, and departmental metrics, escalating concerns as appropriate. Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to resolve testing issues, support new product introductions, coordinate rework activities, and implement process improvements. Support the training and qualification of employees in accordance with applicable procedures, work instructions, quality requirements, and safety standards. Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement through participation in Gemba walks, audits, and problem-solving activities. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized testing area by reinforcing 5S, proper handling of product and equipment, and adherence to ESD, cleanroom, and safety requirements where applicable. Communicate testing status, risks, failures, and improvement opportunities to supervisors and cross-functional stakeholders. Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for testing processes, equipment, and troubleshooting activities. Support business needs and perform other duties as assigned.   Qualifications Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; previous experience as a Senior Manufacturing Associate (SMA), Lead SMA, or equivalent technical lead role preferred. 4+ years of fiber optic splicing experience. 4+ years of clean room experience. Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles. Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance and support within a team environment. Proficiency in electro-mechanical assembly operations. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to train and mentor associates on processes, equipment, and best practices. Previous experience with quality systems and manufacturing processes. High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
