JOB TITLE: Systems Operator B Â
REPORT TO: Shift Supervisor with directions from a Team LeaderÂ
SHIFT NIGHTS/HOURS:Â
2nd Shift position: (1:00 p.m.- 9:00 pm.) Monday - Friday over a course of 5 days (40+ hours) per week. Some overtime may be required throughout the week and some Saturday Evenings.
STARTING PAY:Â $22.40 ($1.00 shift premium) with the ability to earn more.Â
We are currently seeking a Systems Operator B to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems. As a Systems Operator B, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our company's manufacturing.Â
Systems Operators B will be responsible for setting the press up, selecting dies, performing maintenance, and troubleshooting problems.Â
  What You Will Be Responsible For:Â
- Responsible for the safe and efficient running of the extrusion pressÂ
- Promptly communicates to supervisor any issues concerning health, safety, quality, and efficienciesÂ
- Responsible for the in-process inspection/verification of parts during extrusionÂ
- Monitor and maintain good physical condition of extrusion press and handling equipmentÂ
- Meet the quality standards required by customer specificationsÂ
- Responsible for inspecting parts after the stretching operationÂ
- Follow company procedures and policiesÂ
- Responsible to ensure right alloys are running for correct processÂ
- Read and understand shop ordersÂ
- Read and understand calipers, micrometers, and tape measuresÂ
- Read and understand printsÂ
- Run the press and meet all press requirementsÂ
- Must be able to read a go- and no-go gauge to check material after it has been agedÂ
- Must fill out check sheets for any moving equipment before it is used
- Operate an electric cart and overhead craneÂ
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor or team leaderÂ
Work Environment/ Physical Demands:Â Â
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hearÂ
- The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25- 75 poundsÂ
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusÂ
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts Â
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and is not a climatized buildingÂ
 What You Will Need:Â
- HS Diploma/GED preferredÂ
- Must be able to pass a skills-based testÂ
- Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively: self-motivated: self-starterÂ
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsÂ
- A minimum of three (3) months' related experience and/or training, preferred, but willing to train the right individualsÂ
- Must be able to pass company background check and drug screen.Â
