JOB TITLE: Anodizing Trainee

REPORTS TO: Anodizing Supervisor

SHIFT DAYS /HOURS:   3rd shifts are (Sun night to Thurs night) 9:00 pm- 5:00 am. Must be willing and able to work Mandatory OT on off days as necessary.

STARTING PAY:  $19.82 per hour + $0.50 Shift Premium 

This entry-level position works in the Anodizing Department and is responsible for affixing aluminum pieces of difference sizes to onto titanium metal anodizing racks.

 

What You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Examines articles for defects and sorts articles according to extent of defect.
  • Rackers work side by side on a line, with no more than an arm’s length between them.
  • Frequently lift and carry boxes of parts weighing no more than 30 pounds.
  • Differentiate between different sizes, shapes and styles of pieces.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Accepts feedback from the Team Leader to ensure the loads are up to safety standards.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. 

 

Work Environment / Physical Demands: 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. 
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and always without air conditioning. 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Must be at least 18 years or older , HS Diploma/GED, reliable transportation during working hours and have good interpersonal skills.
