The successful candidate:
Must be able to work PRN 7:00a-4:30p/10 hour shifts.
Assess patient needs using a holistic approach and monitor changes in condition, communicating updates to physicians and the care team.
Develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans based on assessment findings and interdisciplinary goals.
Document care provided and oversee care delivery by unlicensed support staff.
Educate and support patients and families regarding disease processes, treatments, side effects, and health promotion to facilitate informed decision-making.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and review of departmental policies and procedures.
Obtain and document allergy information, complete medication reconciliation, verify physician orders, and safely administer medications and treatments while monitoring outcomes.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
Current Georgia State Registered Nurse License required
BSN required or enrolled within 6 months of hire and BSN completed within three years from hire date.
Current BLS required (Obtain AHA certificate within 30 days of hire)
Current ACLS required (Obtain AHA certificate within 30 days of hire)
Oncology experience preferred
Recent ICU and/or OR experience preferred
Experience in caring for patients with invasive pressure lines desirable
Experience in caring for patients who are on mechanical ventilation desirable
