JOB TITLE: Maintenance Tech Welder

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor

SHIFT DAYS /HOURS:   (Mon-Fri) 1st Shift. Must be willing and able to work Mandatory OT on off days as necessary.

STARTING PAY:  $31.56 - $38.57 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. We are actively looking for talented and dedicated 1st Shift Maintenance Technicians to join our team!

A Maintenance Welder repairs, fabricates, and modifies metal equipment and structures using various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, arc) to ensure operational safety and performance, requiring strong skills in reading blueprints, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and strict adherence to safety protocols, often collaborating with other trades to maintain machinery like conveyor systems, pipes, and general facility assets.

What You'll Be Responsible For: 

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment. 

  • Perform high-quality welding, cutting, brazing, and soldering on equipment, pipes, and structures (e.g., fences, machinery, stairs).

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to determine root causes and implement effective solutions. 

  • Perform repairs and adjustments to maintain optimal functionality. 

  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency. 

  • Collaborate with other team members to improve maintenance processes and reduce potential issues. 

  • Document maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades. 

 

What You’ll Need: 

  • Experience as a Maintenance Welder or similar role, preferably on the night shift. 

  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems. 

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams. 

  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools. 

  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities. 

  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance.
