Corporate Tax Manager

As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will lead corporate tax compliance, tax planning, and ASC 740 tax accounting engagements for large corporate clients. You will manage multiple engagements simultaneously while supervising staff, reviewing corporate tax returns, advising clients on complex tax matters, and developing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead corporate tax engagements from planning through completion
  • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
  • Review corporate income tax returns (Form 1120)
  • Lead ASC 740 income tax provision preparation and review
  • Provide tax consulting and planning services
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate Senior Associates and Associates
  • Manage engagement budgets and profitability
  • Respond to IRS and State tax notices
  • Research federal, state, and international tax issues
  • Review tax provisions and deferred tax calculations
  • Develop strong client relationships
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Coordinate with Grant Thornton's Washington National Tax Office
  • Travel as required
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Certifications
  • Active CPA License
    OR
  • JD with Active Law License
