We are looking for highly qualified instructors to bring their energy and passion to an Active Aging community. We are looking for instructors to fill our Fit and Flow class on Fridays at 10:30am (50 minutes), for memory care individuals. This class is chair yoga with some cardio/strength moves mixed in.
JOB SUMMARY
Interacts with members and program participants to deliver safe, effective, and enjoyable exercise classes in accordance with the objectives and policies set forth by Elevation Corporate Health. Provides excellent leadership, up-to-date quality instruction and high energy motivation to members and participants, in order to maximize participation, outcomes, and customer satisfaction.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Teach agreed upon classes each week (on-site/virtual)
Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with class participants; be the face of the fitness center by delivering excellent customer service
Monitor class participants and provide assistance to correct ineffective or incorrect techniques when asked
Maintain clean, safe and orderly exercise room and equipment
After completion of class, follow current facility cleaning procedures for space and equipment used
Submit all class participation totals & names via google doc
Insure that each member has a signed waiver on file
Sign in for each class taught at on-site/virtually
Help with incentive and wellness programming when asked
Help promote programs, events and incentives to the residents in their classes.
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform other duties as assigned
Emergency protocols
Assist in development and implementation of new group exercise classes
QUALIFICATIONS
Current industry recognized certification for Group Exercise/ format you will be teaching is required. Specialty certifications are a plus.
Must have and maintain current CPR certification
Must complete Elevation’s Group Exercise Certification
Must have experience teaching group exercise classes
Ability to modify exercise programs to meet the needs of the participants
Must be outgoing, energetic, able to perform in front of an audience and possess the ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals
