Summary:

The Medical Sales Director plays a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding business within the elite aviation and medical transportation sector, specifically focusing on government contracts and air medical services. This high-impact position requires a strategic, results-driven leader with deep industry expertise in transplant logistics, organ procurement, and critical care transportation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-value relationships with transplant centers, OPO leadership, hospital executives, and insurance providers, while consistently delivering complex, high-stake service agreements. With a strong emphasis on precision, urgency, and executive-level communication, the Medical Sales Director will serve as a trusted advisor and key representative of the organization, ensuring exceptional service delivery and sustained client satisfaction across a national footprint.

Our Client is is intentionally scaling its Air Medical Transportation division with the objective to double—and ultimately triple—medical transport revenue, surpassing established and respected competitors such as REVA, AirMed, NORA, Global Medical Response (GMR) and Trinity Medical Solutions. The creation of this role marks a pivotal investment in national growth.

Salary: Higher End. 100% based on experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic sales initiatives to expand business within government contracts and air medical transportation sectors.
  • Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with transplant centers, surgeons, OPO leadership, hospital executives, and insurance providers.
  • Drive the acquisition of new clients and the expansion of existing accounts through targeted outreach and consultative selling.
  • Close complex, high-value service agreements with a focus on long-term client retention and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination of critical logistics and service delivery.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings with executive presence and professionalism.
  • Maintain a national travel schedule (up to 50%) to support client engagement and business development efforts.
  • Provide market insights and competitive intelligence to inform strategic planning and business growth.


Requirements

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of professional direct sales experience in organ procurement, transplant logistics, or a closely related healthcare field.
  • 10+ years of total experience in the air medical, transplant, or critical care transportation industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of OPO workflows, transplant timelines, and time-sensitive logistics coordination.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Proven track record of closing high-value, complex service agreements in a regulated healthcare environment.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with executive-level credibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments with precision and professionalism.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 50% of the time) and work independently in remote and dynamic settings.
  • Existing network and relationships with transplant centers, surgeons, OPO leadership, hospital executives, and insurance providers.
  • Strong self-motivation, adaptability, and a results-oriented mindset.
