JOB SUMMARY

The Cash Operations Shift Manager is responsible for assisting the Manager of Cash Operations in the successful operation of the cage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor, direct, supervise and observe cage action in the overall casino operations for adherence to company policies and various regulatory requirements to safeguard the casino’s assets and fund.
  • Knowledgeable of Marketing Promotions and Gaming events.
  • Responsible for guest service, relations, and arbitrate disputes to assure that our guests have a favorable gaming experience.
  • Assign or make changes in assignments of Team Members on assigned shifts.
  • Submit at the end of respective shifts, all reports deemed necessary for the efficient operation of the department.
  • Ensure the safety and security of Team Members and guests. Facilitate processes and programs to effectively control and reduce lost time injuries.
  • Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted level of employment. Delegate authority and assign responsibilities.
  • Development of Team Members, interviews, hiring and evaluations.
  • Assist Cage Manager in preparation of reports and other administrative responsibilities as assigned.
  • Review cage activities and promotions with the Manager of Cash Operations.
  • Assure that required facilities and equipment are available, clean, and functioning properly.
  • Establish and maintain effective channels of communication upward, downward, and laterally.
  • Maintain an updated knowledge of Gaming Laws/Regulations and internal controls applicable to areas of responsibility.
  • May act as Managerial Representative on Premises.
  • Meet with Departmental Directors and Managers as necessary.                                                                                                                                         
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Management abilities demonstrated in managing the Cage profitability.
  • Maintaining a professional working relationship among all personnel.
  • Oral and written communication skills.

Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the Cage.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Two to Five years experience in cage operations and supervision with a 2-year degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred.

Able to obtain KY Racing License.
