Every minute matters in stroke treatment. Magnendo is developing robotic technology to make life-saving endovascular procedures faster, safer, and more accessible. By combining advanced robotics, magnetic navigation, and intelligent software, we are tackling one of the most technically demanding challenges in healthcare while aiming to expand access to advanced stroke care for patients around the world. Join us in shaping the future of endovascular intervention.
We’re looking for a Principal Program Manager to build and lead Magnendo’s program-management function and drive the integrated development of our endovascular robotics platform. This is a senior leadership role for someone who can translate ambitious product goals into practical execution plans, align multidisciplinary internal and external teams, and lead the program from its current prototype stage through first-in-human readiness, MVP development, and future product generations.
You Will:
Build and lead Magnendo’s program-management function, establishing the operating framework needed to create ownership, transparency, and disciplined execution
Translate company objectives and technical plans into a maintained integrated master schedule with clear workstreams, milestones, deliverables, owners, dependencies, resource needs, and critical-path visibility
Operate as a peer to Magnendo’s technical and functional leaders to maintain alignment across the full program
Work with discipline heads to establish readiness criteria, completion evidence, and decision gates, and ensure that technical progress, integration activities, and system demonstrations remain connected to the program plan
Lead program, technical, design, phase-gate, and partner reviews, ensuring that decisions are timely, risks are visible, and milestone completion is supported by appropriate documentation and demonstrated system performance
Identify emerging schedule, budget, resource, or deliverable impacts early, facilitate cross-functional tradeoffs, and drive corrective action and escalation when required
Coordinate external development partners, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, academic collaborators, and clinical or strategic partners as part of one integrated product-development program
Manage and develop a Senior Project Manager supporting a major externally partnered program, ensuring that partner coordination, milestone evidence, and reporting are accurate, timely, and integrated into Magnendo’s broader development program
Establish clear, useful program dashboards and executive reporting that communicate progress, critical decisions, risks, resource constraints, budget status, and areas requiring leadership attention
Select and adapt Agile, Waterfall, milestone-driven, or hybrid development approaches to the needs and maturity of each workstream
Help build a culture in which progress is measured by demonstrated system performance
You Are:
A Program Manager with over 10 years of program-management or technical program-leadership experience in the medical-device, surgical-robotics, or similarly complex regulated-product industry
Experienced leading complex, multidisciplinary, multi-year product-development programs from early technology development through regulated product realization
Experienced managing integrated programs that include both hardware and software development, preferably within capital equipment, robotics, imaging, or software-intensive medical systems
A systems thinker, deeply knowledgeable in medical-device product development, including design controls, requirements management, risk management, verification and validation, regulatory readiness, manufacturing transfer, and quality-system expectations
Skilled at translating strategy and technical plans into integrated roadmaps and schedules spanning technical work, clinical activities, external partnerships, regulatory deliverables, manufacturing, and commercialization
Comfortable asking difficult questions, identifying gaps, facilitating tradeoffs, and helping technical leaders align around practical execution plans
Experienced managing multi-million Dollars program budgets, resources and milestones, and executive-level reporting
Experienced managing, developing, and supervising project- or program-management personnel
An excellent communicator who can clearly convey program status, complex dependencies, difficult tradeoffs, risks, and decisions to technical teams, executives, clinical stakeholders, sponsors, and external partners
Trained in PMP, PMI-ACP, Agile/Scrum, SAFe, Lean, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, or equivalent.
Bonus Points:
Experience in surgical robotics, endovascular or neurovascular devices, image-guided intervention, or autonomous or semi-autonomous medical systems
Experience supporting first-in-human readiness, preclinical studies and clinical collaborations
Experience leading milestone-based programs involving government sponsors, strategic partners, or multiple subcontractors with recurring reporting and evidence requirements
Experience establishing or scaling a program-management function within an early-stage medical-device company
