What You’ll Be DoingÂ
Â
As our next Quality Control Inspector (2nd Shift), you will be at the center of confirming the quality of Sarstedt's products via visual, dimensional and functional testing.Â
- Collect and visually inspect random samples from various machines and assembly operationsÂ
- Measure samples using calipers, indicator gages, and go/no go gages
- Effectively utilize centrifuges, desiccators, amd contact angle measuring devices for functional testing of productsÂ
- You stay organized and efficient in documenting all inspections, measurements, and functional testing
- Responsible for initial assessment of product at production start, including visual inspection, measurements, functional testing, establishment of bag weights, and confirmation of line clearance.
- Clear documentation and communication of product defects to the Quality Control Leadperson and appropriate production staff
- You are responsible for the initial isolation of defective product
- Weigh and record scrap as neededÂ
- Cleanliness and organization matter, maintaining a safe and orderly workspace through daily upkeep
- Safety is always top of mind, following all guidelines and reporting any concerns immediatelyÂ
 What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED; and three to six months related experience and/or training
- You are known for reliability, dependability, and taking ownership of your work
- Attention to detail is one of your strengths, especially when handling product accuracy and documentationÂ
- You are comfortable being on your feet standing, walking, and moving throughout your shift
- You bring a hands-on mindset, using tools and equipment safely and effectively
 Requirements
- Ability to work 2nd shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday-Friday/some Saturdays)
- Physically able of lifting up to 25 lbs. (regularly) and 50+ lbs. (occasionally)
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with moving equipment and moderate noise
- Adaptable and safety-conscious, with the ability to work at heights using proper equipment when neededÂ
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in various environments for extended periodsÂ
