This Remanufacturing Supervisor position is located at Plant 3 in Newton, NC.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hands-on supervision of shopping cart remanufacturing (5Â -Â 12 employees) where job activities are performed by skilled and non-skilled workers alike.
- Plan/assign daily activities, train, instruct, direct and assist all employees as necessary to ensure smooth, efficient, and consistent production flow.
- Coordinate the delivery, unloading, sorting, inventory and storage of incoming customer shopping carts.
- Coordinate the tear down, burn off, shot blasting, and repair of customer shopping carts. Report daily quantities.
- Coordinate the transportation of processed carts from remanufacturing (Plant 3) to receiving (Plant 1).
- Coordinate the collection, separation, and removal of all recyclable materials.
- Ensure that work performed meets or exceeds established quality standards and customer requirements
- Ensure that Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity goals are achieved.
- Follow the daily production schedule as communicated and assigned by the Department Manager.
- Responsible for SS process implementation in the department.
- Maintain equipment; eliminate unplanned machine downtime; ensure that PM's are performed to schedule.
- Drive Continuous Improvement.
- Enforce all Company policies and procedures; maintain discipline, increase morale and improve employee relations including recommendations for hiring, terminations, transfers, promotions, and wage adjustments. Maintain an issue free work environment. Practice Wanzl leadership values.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years Supervisory Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
- Technical skills and continuous improvement experience preferred
- Results driven
- Excellent communication skills; written & verbal
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work with/communicate with all levels of the organization; to include
- coordinating needs with manufacturing associates
