Job DetailsJob Location: Newtown Square, PA 19073Mission of the Role   The Business Intelligence Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data models, pipelines, and reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision making across the organization. The scope of work includes transforming raw data into structured, reliable datasets, developing KPI dashboards, and supporting business stakeholders with actionable insights.  As a member of the Data and Analytics team, this role will work closely with the Director of Data and Analytics and cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality data products. This role requires strong problem-solving ability, curiosity, and a willingness to adopt modern data and AI-driven approaches to improve productivity and outcomes.  Essential Functions  Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions   Design and implement scalable data models in a warehouse environment  Build and maintain data transformations using SQL and tools such as dbt   Develop and support dashboards and reporting solutions (Power BI)   Debug and resolve data issues across pipelines, models, and reporting layers   Contribute to data pipeline development and data quality improvements   Participate in peer code reviews to ensure adherence to engineering standards   Continuously improving existing data models and reporting logic for performance and usability   Explore and apply AI tools (e.g., Abacus AI) to enhance productivity and data products   Support the ongoing development and maintenance of the company’s data platform   Organizational Core Values   Customer service begins inside - We serve our colleagues with excellence so we can serve our customers with excellence   Get it right the first time - We are reliable, thorough, and detail-oriented   Philosophy of velocity - We value responsiveness and speed without sacrificing quality   Personalized Service - We anticipate needs and go beyond expectations   Act like an owner - We take responsibility for outcomes and long-term impact   We can’t stop learning - We embrace new tools, ideas, and feedback   Educational/Training Requirements/Experience  2+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or similar role (or equivalent project-based experience)   Strong proficiency in SQL (required)   Experience with at least one of the following: Snowflake, dbt, Power BI, Postgres, or SQL Server   Working knowledge of DAX   Experience building dashboards and reporting solutions   Understanding of core data modeling principles (facts, dimensions, data warehousing concepts)   Experience working with data pipelines or ELT processes   Must be able to commute to Newtown Square, PA 4–5 days per week   Nice to Have:  Python   TypeScript   React.js or Node.js   Experience integrating AI into workflows or data products   What We’re Looking For  Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work through ambiguous problems   Ability to understand and operate within existing engineering standards and frameworks   Curious and motivated to learn new tools, concepts, and data philosophies   Effective collaborator who works well in a team environment   Interest in leveraging AI to improve productivity and enhance data products      The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors such as work location, job-related skills, qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and relevant education and training.  In addition to our compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including the following:   Bonus based on company performance  Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match Paid time off (including vacation, company holidays, and parental leave) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Other benefits such as life insurance, disability coverage, and wellness programs
