JOB TITLE: Project Cleaning Coordinator

Date of Last Revision: February 28, 2025  Reports to: Environmental Manager/Director 

Purpose of Job: 

The primary purpose of this position is to plan, develop, organize, and oversee the operation of the department's cleaning projects. Cleaning projects will follow current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the community and as directed by the Housekeeping Manager or Director of Environmental Services to assure that our community is maintained in a safe, efficient, attractive, and comfortable manner.

Administrative Functions:

Maintain a good work rapport with inter-departmental personnel.

Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing departmental activities as directed.

Assist coordinating departmental service with other departments.

Adhere to all WHV policies and procedures.

Perform administrative duties such as: filing, completing forms, reading memos and attends meetings, as directed.

Create and maintain a good customer service environment.

 

Training/In-Service Attendance:

Attend and participate in all required in-services and educational classes.

Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, and coursework, as directed.


 

Safety and Sanitation:

Follow and establish safety procedures and precautions when performing the aspects of your job.

Report all injuries immediately to your supervisor.

Lift using proper technique. Assist others when directed.

Report all unsafe and hazardous conditions and equipment to your supervisor.

Maintain a work area that is clean and hazard free.

Follow all infection control procedures as they apply.

Know and follow fire and disaster plans.

Use personal protective equipment when performing tasks that might involve infectious materials.


Equipment and Supply Usage:

Report all equipment malfunctions or breakdowns immediately.

Report low or depleted supplies to the appropriate person.

Use equipment for its intended purpose.

Follow correct official procedures when using equipment.


Resident Rights:

Maintain the confidentiality of resident information.

Handle all resident property with respect.

Knock before entering a resident’s dwelling.

Ensure that residents are treated fairly and with respect, allowing for individuality and privacy.

Uphold the residents’ civil rights.

 

Regulatory Compliance:

Follow all OSHA, CDC guidelines.

Review Safety Data Sheets prior to working with any chemicals.

Treat all team members fairly & equally (comply with WHV non-discrimination policy).

Adhere to all local, state, or federal regulations as they apply.

Completes annual compliance training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the code of conduct in the performance of their duties.

Abides by White Horse Village’s code of conduct in the performance of their duties.


Committee Function:

Serve on committees as assigned.

When serving on a committee, participate to the fullest of your ability.

 

Job Specific Functions:

Coordinate, plan and schedule all healthcare and independent living cleaning. 

Coordinate cleaning of all turnover units, market ready units, and annual cleanings. 

Complete all campus rounds and tours daily, to ensure cleanliness of the property, and report any issues found to its proper departments.

Conduct walks troughs with sales team, in all turnover units, and market ready units. 

Completes assigned cleaning checklists for DOH, DHS, Life Safety. Legionella Prevention Program and other assigned projects. 

Provides feedback and recommendations for changes to policies and procedures 

As assigned, makes rounds and assists with inspections of storage rooms, closets, community buildings and grounds to identify areas in need of housekeeping department attention. 

Inspect linens and carpet to assure quality appearance and makes recommendations for replacement/cleaning. 

As assigned, works with vendors, and assists with coordination of training. 


Assure that a stock level of housekeeping supplies, disinfectants, equipment, linens, etc., is maintained to provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.


Make weekly inspections of all housekeeping functions to assure that quality control measures are continually maintained.


General Job Functions:

  • Attend monthly meetings and training sessions as scheduled
  • Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift and/or carry 30 pounds.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
  • Respond to a paging system(radio) in the appropriate manner.
  • Complete job of floor tech/porter (as directed) 
  • Complete job of laundry worker (as directed) 
  • Complete job as housekeeper (as directed)
  • Report any immediate issues to Housekeeping Manager 
  • Take inventory and maintain paper products as well as other supplies 
  • May be required to stay or come in for emergencies situations
  • Must be able to cooperate and interact effectively with other departments, as well as residents, patients, visitors, and fellow Team members.
  • Safety and security measures.
  • Report or correct any hazardous conditions observed immediately.
  • Must display professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness always.
  • Seek out areas that require cleaning and take initiative to complete
  • Work within productivity standards
  • Assist with guest issues, being professional and maintaining a hospitable caring attitude.
  • Maintain guest privacy.
  • Be able to multitask, remain service centric.
  • Communicate professionally with guests and team members.
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the Code of Conduct in the performance of duties.
  • Adheres to the Organizations Policies and Procedures regarding the Compliance Program of the organization and is timely in reporting any possible concerns.
  • Follows all local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to the position.
  • Adheres to the Organization’s Policy and Procedures covering Privacy and Security in Compliance with HIPAA regulations.
