JOB TITLE: Building Maintenance Specialist II

CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non-Exempt

PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Maintenance

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Facilities

POSITION SUMMARY: Maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots facility systems and components to include painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and masonry work. Completes and maintains work requests as assigned. Required to be on call with a flexible schedule and respond to emergency repair requests. May occasionally be required to supplement custodial and grounds maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education, Training & Experience:
Five (5) years supervised experience in plumbing, carpentry, millwrighting, painting, electrical, and/ or masonry work preferred.

Proficient in use of hand tools.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Valid New York State driver’s license that meets the Agency’s driving policy

Ability and willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call system

Ability to work effectively and independently

SALARY:

$27-$30 per hour starting rate based on experience
