JOB TITLE: Behavior Technician

CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non-Exempt

PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Residential Services 

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:  Associate Executive Director of Clinical Services

POSITION SUMMARY: Works alongside Behavior Intervention Specialist to facilitate behavior program needs including the implementation and review of documentation of all individuals in designated waiver programs. Completes assesses for individuals and makes recommendations of behavior methodologies to ensure proper placement in the least restrictive environment. Ensures the provision of, understands and utilizes the functional behavior analysis and evaluations for behavior services. Assists, monitors, coordinates and ensures proper service delivery in accordance with life plans and other plans of service by providing feedback to staff on behavior programming and implementation. Coordinates and/or assist in the development and presentation of in-service training.

 


QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education, Training & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent with two (2) years of experience working with the intellectually/developmentally disabled population

                             

Preferred Education, Training & Experience:

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in human services, psychology, behavioral science or other related field

OR
An equivalent combination of directly relevant education, training and experience deemed adequate to effectively perform the job

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Basic knowledge of behavioral theories, practices and programs.         

Must be able to listen and communicate effectively with peers, staff and parents/guardians.

Ability to work independently with limited supervision and work in a team environment to produce positive results with fellow team members.

 

SALARY:

$19-$21 per hour based on experience
