Are you a natural leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment? We're looking for a Lead Buffet Operations Attendant to help deliver exceptional guest experiences while guiding and supporting a high-performing team.

In this role, you'll lead daily buffet operations, ensure food quality and presentation standards are consistently met, and serve as a key connection between front-of-house and kitchen teams. What You'll Do

  • Lead and support buffet service team members throughout each shift
  • Serve as the primary communication link between buffet attendants and kitchen staff
  • Monitor buffet stations to ensure food is fully stocked, properly maintained, and presented to company standards
  • Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and temperature guidelines are consistently followed
  • Deliver a welcoming and guest-focused dining experience
  • Share guest feedback, concerns, and compliments with management
  • Train and onboard new team members on procedures, service standards, and best practices
  • Coordinate daily assignments and team member break schedules
  • Partner with cooks, servers, dishwashers, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist with carving stations, dessert preparation, salad bar setup, and other service areas as needed
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and efficient work environment
  • Support additional operational needs as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • At least 3 months of food service, restaurant, or kitchen experience
  • Previous leadership or training experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and support team members
  • Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Leadership Responsibilities

As a shift leader, you will:

  • Provide daily direction and support to buffet service team members
  • Train, coach, and develop staff to ensure success
  • Help resolve guest and team member concerns professionally and efficiently
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive workplace culture
  • Ensure company standards and policies are consistently followed

Physical Requirements

This is an active, on-your-feet role that requires:

  • Continuous standing and walking throughout shifts
  • Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, balancing, and hand movements
  • Regular lifting of up to 25 pounds
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Strong coordination, manual dexterity, and visual awareness to safely perform duties

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced restaurant and buffet service setting
  • Exposure to kitchen equipment and moving mechanical parts
  • Moderate to high noise levels during peak service periods

Schedule Requirements

  • Flexible scheduling based on business needs
  • Availability on weekends and holidays required
