Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate, professional, and organized Front Desk, Intake Coordinator to join our growing behavioral health and substance use treatment team (4:00 PM – Midnight, Monday–Friday)


This position serves as the first point of contact for clients, families, referral sources, and community partners. The ideal candidate is welcoming, detail-oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and passionate about helping individuals seeking recovery services.


Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Answer and direct incoming calls while maintaining confidentiality
  • Support intake and admissions processes
  • Collect and enter demographic, insurance, and referral information into the EMR system
  • Explain intake paperwork and program expectations to clients and families
  • Maintain accurate intake logs, documentation, and front desk records
  • Coordinate communication between clinical, medical, and administrative teams
  • Provide compassionate support to individuals in emotionally sensitive situations
  • Maintain HIPAA and confidentiality standards

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of BCI/FBI background check
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen



Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous healthcare, behavioral health, medical office, or customer service experience preferred
  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or emotionally sensitive situations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office technology
