Job Title: Human Resource Generalist (Headquarters)

Schedule:Â Monday through Friday (8:00a to 5:00p) extended hours may be required to support business needs

Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Provides excellent service and support in the delivery of core Human Resources services during the FULL employee life cycle of activities (recruiting to termination).
- Demonstrates high customer-service and support behaviors.
- Demonstrates professional and courteous communication in face-to-face, e-mail, and telephone interaction.
- Conducts New Hire Orientations.
- Creates and administers various Company policies and procedures and assists employees with interpretation of the Company Employee Handbook.
- Creates Employee Action Reports for various employee actions such as pay increases, discipline, attendance, terminations, etc.
- Assists Supervisors with Performance Reviews and Performance Improvement Plans.
- Investigates employee complaints and works with Supervisors to resolve issues.
- Assists with PTO and timekeeping activities for payroll and attendance.
- Monitors leaves of absences (ADA & FMLA).
- Assists with Safety/Work Comp claim activities such as authorizing treatment, sharing accident reports, sharing medical visit updates, monitoring restrictions and light duty work, and any other activities that help the injured worker to return to full duty.
- Maintains a working knowledge of benefits (medical, dental, prescription, group term life, STD, LTD).
- Responds to all State Unemployment requests.
- Complies with State and Federal regulations.
- Conducts Layoffs / Reductions in Force / Terminations.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources field is preferred
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification is as PLUS
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment in the role of Human Resource Generalist.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), ADP, and/or other HR/Payroll/Time & Attendance software.Â
- Must be able to effectively interact with employees across all levels of the business (sales, manufacturing, corporate management, finance, etc.).Â
- Must be honest and trustworthy.
- Must maintain high level of accuracy when creating or reviewing documentation.
- Must have attention-to-detail and follow-through skills.
Physical environment/working conditions:Â
- Works in an office environment at a production facility. The individual types at a computer on regular basis as well as communicating via telephone, vendors, customers and Plant Management on an as needed basis.

- Must be able to work as part of a team. Must actively protect confidentiality of employee personnel and payroll records at all times.
