Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and mentor junior engineers and interns, assisting them with design validation and best practices.
• Make necessary revisions to existing components and assemblies as required
• Develop new designs of components and assemblies including weldments and other various technologies
• Review specifications of components and finished products
• Use 3D software such as Creo/Solidworks to accomplish design work, including basic FEA analysis.
• Work with production on new product introductions and to resolve other design related issues
• Manage part numbers, master part information, bills of material, and bills of operation in ERP system.

Requirements:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• 10 to 15 years experience in the design of on-road or off-road vehicles and vehicle systems.
• Experience in structural design is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Creo or other similar 3D Modeling/Design software
• Ability to be out on a manufacturing/assembly floor
• Must be dependable, open to changes and new ideas, adaptable to new situations and challenges, and able to stand up and defend their knowledge of engineering principles and procedures.
• Experience using ERP systems such as Epicor.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Experience identifying and navigating organizational changes and a keen interest in trends in engineering and leadership.
