Summary of duties and responsibilities:

A Quality Technician will perform any or all the following tasks in a safe and timely manner:

Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct hourly audits of all active work centers in your designated area to ensure products meet customer and internal requirements.
  • Ensure that all Modineer and Plant 6 specific procedures are being adhered to adequately, focusing on quality inspections and conforming material.
  • Provide immediate support to operators and production leads regarding quality concerns. 
  • Train operators on performing quality checks and ensure their understanding of quality alerts.
  • Help create or revise Standard Work Instructions, check sheets, and visual aids.
  • Assist with reworking or sorting of suspect material.
  • Contribute to general quality team tasks such as maintaining quality items, 5S, & posting quality documentation.
  • Assist Quality Engineers or Supervisors in documenting non-conformances or recurring issues for further root cause analysis.
  • Manipulate small objects, such as measuring devices on a routine basis.
  • Move at a moderate to fast pace across specified terrain for extended periods of time


Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge:

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Communication skills.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Collaboration within quality team and communication with cross functional teams. 
  • Use a computer, keyboard, and mouse on a regular basis. 
  • Excellent attendance, attitude, and communication skills are critical.

Physical environment/working conditions:

  • The position is in the factory and could involve sitting, standing, walking, and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day.
