Position ProfileÂ
This position is responsible for delivering products and materials in liquid, solid, loose, or packaged form.Â
Essential DutiesÂ
Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and proceduresÂ
Conducts thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles being operated, in accordance with established company policies and procedures, reporting discrepancies immediatelyÂ
Ensure that cargo is secured for transport in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal lawsÂ
Operates sub-CDL equipment (speeder van/Courier Truck/) in order to deliver customer freight in a variety of locations and environmentsÂ
Maintain good housekeeping standards with focus on the care and custody of materialsÂ
Pickup orders at warehouse prepare for deliveryÂ
Prioritize and complete day-to-day activities as assigned based on customer needsÂ
Assist on the Dock and/or when two-employee deliveries are requiredÂ
Maintain rear facing event recorder Â
Update tablet based on pick-up and delivery ordersÂ
Maintain contact with terminal dispatcher/warehouse to receive instructionsÂ
Accurately maintain courier stop-logs/jockey sheetÂ
May field incoming calls responding appropriately and timely to customer inquiriesÂ
May be required to perform basic emergency roadside repairsÂ
All other duties as assignedÂ
QualificationsÂ
21 years of ageÂ
Valid Class D driver's licenseÂ
Medical cardÂ
High school diploma, or equivalent requiredÂ
One to two years’ courier driving experience preferredÂ
Previous material handling, HAZMAT, and forklift experience preferredÂ
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesÂ
Basic computer knowledgeÂ
Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skillsÂ
Follows instructions, responds to management direction, takes responsibility for own actions, completes tasks on time or communicates alternate plansÂ
Treats people with respect; keeps commitments, inspires the trust of others, works with integrity and ethically, upholds organizational valuesÂ
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracyÂ

Competitive base annual salary range: $18.50 – $26.90, depending on experience and qualifications +$1.00/hr. location differential

Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions (extreme cold and inclement conditions – snow, ice, rain, wind, etc.). The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vehicle vibration. The employee will also be exposed to high density road traffic as well as inter-city traffic.
