Position Overview:
This position will be responsible for receiving and filling guest orders for the day, handling food in a safe manner and ensuring the work area is always clean & neat.  Additionally the position will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly and efficient guest service to guests and team members.  The role serves both specialty coffee drinks and some alcohol.  This position “owns” the area when working, providing a high level experience consistent with our service values of gratitude, respect attentiveness, consistency and a pursuit of excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities:Â

- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly guest service by exhibiting caring, concern & patience in all guest interactions and treating guests impeccably
- Smiles and greets guests in a friendly, manner whether the encounter takes place in the employee’s designated department or elsewhere in the store
- Takes guest order at the counter
- Works with co-workers as a team to ensure guest satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Making of coffee and specialty coffee drinks
- Handles food in a safe manner and ensures the work areas are always clean and neat
- Reviews the status and appearance of the food for freshness
- Ensures that an adequate food supply is ready and on hand (orders product and supplies as necessary)
- Prices products for guests as necessary
- Anticipates product needs for the department on a daily basis
- Checks in product, puts product away and may review invoicesÂ
- Runs the department registers and receives payment, makes change etc., where applicable
- Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress
- Cleanliness of area may necessitate dishwashing
- Other duties as may be assigned

Job Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older, as this role requires associates to handle alcohol
- Excellent guest service skills
- Detail-orientation in work approach
- Strong listener and communicator
- Multi-tasking skills, and ability to share focus on many tasks/initiatives simultaneously
- Self-starter, innovator, results-driven with ability to meet both short and long term business goals
- Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and ability to work flexible hours

Education & ExperienceÂ
- High School Diploma or equivalent experienceÂ
- Guest service/hospitality preferably in higher end coffee/restaurant establishment
