The Pizza Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas and related menu items in accordance with established recipes, standards, and resort expectations. This role ensures consistent food quality, efficient service, and a clean, organized workspace. Pizza Cooks may be classified by skill level (Cook I, II, III), with Cook I representing the highest level of proficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Prepare pizzas and menu items according to established recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
- Operate pizza ovens and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure all food meets quality, consistency, and presentation expectations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation, including opening and closing duties
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to inspection-level standards
- Ability to help other areas when needed
- Monitor ingredient levels and communicate inventory or supply needs to supervisors
- Work collaboratively with kitchen team members in a fast-paced, resort environment
- Maintain professional appearance and personal hygiene standards
- Communicate equipment issues, repairs, or operational concerns promptly
- Perform additional duties as assignedÂ
Job Requirements:
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency and attention to detail
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (6–7 hours), as well as bend, reach, and climb stairs
- Ability to read basic labels (including cleaning chemicals) and complete simple written reports
- Ability to meet skill standards based on assigned cook levelÂ
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent experience (1+ year in a kitchen setting)
- Previous pizza or line cook experience preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license may be required for certain roles involving company vehicles
