Position Overview:

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for providing a clean, high-end room/facility product. The supervisor must work with all housekeeping leadership when leading cleaning teams, assigning tasks to and inspecting the work of Room Attendants. The Housekeeping Supervisor must keep all employees on mission task (ensuring an excellent product and providing excellent service).

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervises daily room (board) assignments and ensures credits are completed in a swift/efficient manner within particular Zone/Section
  • Responsible for cleaning and inspecting teams units
  • Provides randomized checks on inspected units to ensure cleanliness
  • Responds to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure complete satisfaction
  • Identifies and refers work orders and issues to Property Maintenance
  • Identifies and completes project work (Deep Cleans), assuring adequate staff and supplies
  • Ensures compliance with all policies, standards and procedures.
  • Ensures consistent workflow and team groupings to maximize efficiencies
  • Leads team stand-up meetings
  • Responsible for collecting and turning in guest lost and found items
  • Collects and submits housekeeping tips
  • Inform Mgmt of supply shortages/needs for Housekeeping and Laundry.
  • Maintaining quality upkeep and proper use of Housekeeping vehicles
  • Ensures necessary training, preparation for staff to deliver “steps of service”
  • Other duties may be assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and ability to work flexible hours
  • Comfort with repetitive tasks on a daily basis
  • The position requires the ability to lift over 80 pounds occasionally.
  • This position requires the ability to stand, walk (6-7 hours at a time), and climb stairs, reach & bend. 
  • The position requires that the employee be able to read basic chemical labels and write in complete sentences in submitting reports and assessments.

Education & Experience: 

  • One (1) to Two (2) years housekeeping experience, preferably within hospitality 
  • Supervisory/management experience highly desired
  • High school diploma or GED or one (1) year equivalent experience
  • Valid drivers’ license for use of company vehicles may be required for certain roles
