Position Overview:
We’re looking for a dedicated Grounds Worker with a passion for horticulture to help maintain and enhance our beautiful property. This role involves hands-on care of flowers, plants, irrigation systems, and general landscaping to ensure our grounds remain vibrant and well-kept year-round.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of horticultural tasks including planting, watering, pruning, deadheading, fertilizing, and weeding to maintain vibrant, healthy landscapes
  • Care for flower beds, planters, ornamental shrubs, and seasonal displays across the property
  • Monitor and maintain irrigation systems, reporting or addressing any repair needs to ensure efficient water use
  • Complete assigned horticulture and grounds maintenance tasks in a timely and organized manner
  • Work collaboratively with the grounds team to support larger landscaping projects and seasonal transitions
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, teammates, and other departments to ensure cohesive grounds care
  • Assist with tracking inventory of horticultural supplies and may participate in ordering as needed
  • Safely operate horticulture and landscaping tools, equipment, and machinery, following all safety protocols
  • Support additional grounds responsibilities as needed, including winter preparation and snow removal during colder months
  • Perform other related duties as assigned in support of overall grounds upkeep

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of landscaping, irrigation, and horticultural best practices
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs occasionally and work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods (6–7 hours), bend, reach, and climb stairs
  • Comfortable reading basic chemical labels and submitting written reports
  • Must have a valid driver’s license (and ability to obtain state-specific license if out-of-state) for year-round work, including winter operations

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel experience preferred
  • Prior experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture, or related field a plus
  • Valid driver’s license may be required for use of company vehicles
