Position Overview
Our Cooks are responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality food while keeping things moving efficiently in a fast-paced Resort kitchen. You’ll follow established recipes and standards, keep your station organized and service-ready, and work alongside a team that knows great food and great guest experiences go hand in hand.
Cook positions may be classified as Cook I, II, or III based on experience and skill level, with Cook I representing our highest skill level.
We’re currently looking for Breakfast Cooks and Cooks for our Northwoods Pub restaurant to join our Resort culinary team!
Breakfast Cooks: Morning shifts
Pub Cooks: Afternoon and evening shifts

The role may advance into a supervisor level position should the incumbent demonstrate sufficient strategic development and enlargement of performance scope. What You’ll Do

- Prepare menu items according to Resort recipes, guidelines, and quality standards.
- Make sure your station is stocked, prepped, and ready to rock when service begins.
- Deliver consistent food quality, presentation, portioning, and taste.
- Keep food safety and sanitation standards at inspection-ready quality at all times.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation throughout your shift.
- Properly clean and close your work area at the end of service.
- Communicate with culinary leadership about inventory needs, equipment repairs, and anything else needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
- Work collaboratively with teammates from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels.
- Maintain professional hygiene and appearance standards.
- Pitch in with other kitchen duties as needed—because when things get busy, we work together!
What We’re Looking For
- A love of cooking and working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to keep your cool when the tickets start rolling in.
- Dependability and the ability to arrive prepared and ready for service.
- Ability to perform repetitive kitchen tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to meet the cooking skill standards established for your Cook level.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays based on Resort business needs.
- Ability to occasionally lift more than 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for approximately 6–7 hours at a time and regularly reach, bend, and climb stairs.
- Ability to read basic chemical and safety labels and complete required written reports or assessments.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred, or at least one year of equivalent experience.
- Previous restaurant, resort, or professional kitchen experience is a plus.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for certain positions that operate company vehicles.
