Delivery Driver

Position Overview:

The Delivery Driver is responsible for delivery of pizzas and/or other deliverable food items. The employee may also be involved in the delivery of food to tables in and outside the restaurant, bussing of tables, assisting servers and bartenders, simple food preparation, and in some cases dishwashing.  This role requires safe operation of company vehicles and routine vehicle-related tasks, including fueling.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Delivers pizzas and/or other deliverable food items to guests
• Operates company vehicles safely and in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies
• Performs routine vehicle-related tasks as needed, including pumping gas and reporting vehicle issues.
• Basic preparation of food items
• Operation of the industrial dishwasher, ensuring proper operation and appropriate level of cleanliness
• Hand-washes/rinses items periodically, should it be necessary
• Provides assistance to prep cook(s) , servers, bartenders, managers, particularly during peak times
• Performs opening, closing side work, if assigned or necessary
• Cleans up spills or broken glassware immediately
• Arrives on time for shift, providing appropriate relief to co-workers
• Works well with diverse groups of people.  
• Maintains personal hygiene  
• Other duties may be assigned

Job Requirements:

• Valid drivers’ license with a satisfactory driving record, as determined by company standards, is required for use of company vehicles 
• Comfort with repetitive tasks on a daily basis
• Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and ability to work flexible hours
• The position requires the ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally.
• This position requires the ability to stand, walk (6-7 hours at a time), and climb stairs, reach & bend.  
• The position requires that the employee be able to read basic chemical labels and write in complete sentences in submitting reports and assessments.
• Ability to communicate appropriately in the workplace
• Ability to meet sanitary skill standards deemed appropriate for position

Education & Experience 

• Delivery experience preferred
• Previous guest service experience 
• High school diploma or GED or one (1) year equivalent experience
