We are looking for aĀ Software Test Automation EngineerĀ who will contribute to the success of theĀ R&DĀ Team, applying theirĀ expertiseĀ inĀ Software TestingĀ to support the achievement of team and company goals and deliver innovative, reliable solutions.Ā Ā In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate effectively with colleagues and cross-functional teams,Ā demonstrateĀ strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, andĀ maintainĀ a commitment to professional excellence,Ā qualityĀ and continuous improvement.Ā

The RoleĀ Ā 

As aĀ Software Test Automation Engineer,Ā you’llĀ be working on a team of highly skilled Software Test Engineers to test application software and embedded firmware on complex facility management systems and instruments throughout the product lifecycle. This involves development and execution of software test protocols, defectĀ trackingĀ and working with developers to resolve issues.Ā

Job ResponsibilitiesĀ 

  • Participate in and contribute to the entire software development life cycle process.Ā 

  • Review system requirements and use cases with software developers and other technical team members.Ā 

  • Develop,Ā documentĀ and execute detailed test scripts, both manual and automated, to cover software/firmware functionality and ensure traceability to requirements.Ā 

  • Research issues, create test reports that detail testing results and solutions, trackĀ defectsĀ and verify bug fixesĀ in a timely manner.Ā 

  • Design and develop reliable,Ā scalableĀ and maintainable test automation frameworks with Java/Python.Ā 

  • Implement andĀ maintainĀ automation scripts for webĀ applicationĀ using Java/Selenide/Junit.Ā 

  • Collaborate with Developer and QA team to contribute to Git repositories and perform peer code reviews.Ā 

  • Document test processes and peer review documentation for clarity and precision; develop andĀ maintainĀ QA guidelines.Ā Ā 

  • Integrate test automation scripts into the CI/CD pipeline with Jenkins.Ā 

  • Recommend and implement automated test tools and strategies.Ā 

  • Share automation-related knowledge and best practices, and train other testers on test execution.Ā 

  • Continuously evaluate processes for improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety.Ā

Required QualificationsĀ 

  • A BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.Ā Ā Ā 

  • At least 5 years’ experience as an Automation Software Test Engineer developing and executing automation software/firmware test scripts,Ā testingĀ and tracking defects.Ā 

  • Strong technical foundation in software development and test principles.Ā 

  • Experience with software test tools and processes.Ā Ā 

  • Expertise onĀ test-driven development, developingĀ different levelsĀ of automated tests, such as functionalĀ test, integrationĀ test, systemĀ test, or performanceĀ test.Ā 

  • Experience with cybersecurity practices, including testing secure protocols or assessing compliance with regulations like the EU Cyber Resilience Act.Ā 

  • Experience in Web application automation using Selenium/Selenide.Ā 

  • Working experience with IntelliJ or other IDE’s, as well as Java or Python.Ā 

  • Working experience withĀ RanorexĀ Studio.Ā 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.Ā 

  • Clear oral and written communication skills, especially technical writing.Ā Ā 

  • Self-starter and capable of working effectively with minimal supervision.Ā 

Ā 

Preferred QualificationsĀ 

  • Experience working within an Agile Development Environment is preferred.Ā 

  • Knowledge of Jira, Jama, and Confluence is preferred.Ā 

  • Working knowledge of generative AI tools such as Copilot for software development or testing is preferred.Ā

Work Environment & Physical RequirementsĀ 

  • This role primarilyĀ operatesĀ in an office/lab/manufacturing environment.Ā 

  • MustĀ be able to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods of time.Ā 

  • This is a hybrid position, ā€œin-officeā€Ā minimum 3 days per week.Ā 

  • Occasional lifting of up toĀ 20Ā lbs.Ā may beĀ required.Ā

  • Competitive base salary range:Ā $90,000 - $120,000Ā
