POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Community Lifestyle creates a dynamic community for Independent Living residents by designing wellness and lifestyle programs that encourage socialization and engagement. They plan, coordinate, and promote resident events, ensuring participation and improvement through feedback.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Creates a sense of community among the Independent Living residents through wellness and lifestyle programs, which provide opportunities for socialization, engagement, and contribution.
  • Plans, coordinates, communicates, and encourages participation for Independent Living Residents events.
  • Solicits input and involves the residents in the continued development of the lifestyle through feedback and future planning.
  • Recruits, trains, organizes, plans volunteers specifically for the Independent Living resident activities and events.
  • Maintains active participation and seeks appointment to at least one committee of a community organization (e.g. Realtor Association, Senior Citizen support service).
  • Maintains a wide variety of public and private contacts to develop and promote positive public relations for the campus; including not-for-profit organizations, service clubs, professional organizations, etc.
  • Assists in creating outstanding move-in experiences for all new Independent Living Residents. Helps new residents get acclimated to their home and fellow residents.
  • Arranges and conducts tours in partnership with the campus sales team.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED/HSE preferred
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
