Purpose of Position:
Serve as intake officer for patients, providing information regarding health insurance resources and serve as the liaison between patients/clients and multiple agencies to ensure optimum access to services necessary.

Essential Functions:
- Greet and register new patients, obtain patient insurance information and interpret plan benefits. And answer questions regarding eligibilty and application process
- Work with eligilbility representatives on behalf of the patient to ensure benefits are established and monitor deadlines for enrollment
- Serve as a resource to hospital and clinic staff regarding health insurance programs and benefit eligibility
- Develop reports regarding outreach and education activities, expenditures, health insurance resources utilization, etc.
- Performs various administrative duties consistent with job responsibilities to include data entry, filing, archiving, scanning, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned
